Temporary additional mud pumps and SCE

Hi folks,

At a recent DWOP, we talked about the issues surrounding hole-cleaning when drilling a high angle hole section from a platform with very limited pump and solids-control-equipment (SCE) capacity.

Drillpipe size is already being looked into, as well as minimising the pressure drops in downhole tools .. so the question relates specifically to pumps and SCE ..

What experience do members have in adding "temporary" pumps and/or SCE where there is limited space and where it may not be possible to add these units right next to the existing ones.

What equipment suppliers were the most innovative, what challenges did you foresee and how did you overcome them, how did you overcome some of the original challenges and what additional learnings did you pick up along the way ?
