Hole Cleaning - ERD Wells

We have just been advised that Halliburton have set a limit of 80 rpm for all their motors, independent of size, bend or position in tangent/build section. This will make hole cleaning in >8.5in hole arduous, if possible. I'm told other PDM suppliers are making similar noises.

Normally PDMs have limits set for bend, size & position in well e.g. 100 rpm in tangent, 80 rpm in build for 1.15 bend 6.75" PDM. Given our demanding ERD applications. Merlin ERD have frequently obtained dispensation to run above these by putting additional safeguards in place.

Is anyone else having these low rotary limits enforced?
