Varco PS30 Auto Slips

Does anyone have experience good/bad about PS30 slips being used in the rotary table whilst drilling/rotating.
I believe in some regions this type of auto slip is left in the rotary table and not just used for tripping or csg running purposes alone.
Any hints and tips covering this type of operation would be of help.
