Conductor centralisers for platfrom guides

What are your expriences with conductor centralisers for taking up the slack within existing platform guides? I'm more interested in new wells with new conductor, rather than the retro-fit options.

Has there been any failures of wrap-around/bolt on centralisers over a few years? Have they lost friction and slipped down to the conductor connector?
Are there any companies out there that provide a simple and effective solution?

The conductor will installed after drilling the hole, so space outs can be accurately measured. There are 3 guides - 1 above the spash zone and the other 2 are subsea.
