Safety joints

When drilling laterals in the Bakken, it is fairly common to run an agitator/shock sub 3 to 4 thousand feet behind the bit.  If the BHA sticks, we have no way to run wireline out to free point or back off, plus the jars are useless that far from the usual stuck point.
I am considering running a fishing type safety-back off joint just below the agitator so I can get it out of the string when I need to fish.
My question is: is a fishing type safety joint robust enough to drill in a string of xt39 in these conditions?
