Top Drive DSCS

As a directional Driller I spent many a happy hour on rig
floors "rocking" the pipe to break friction and get some slide in
difficult situations.
Now in China I see the DSCS system and it really seems to work in
allowing driling with motors in well profiles that, on the face of
it, would seem to dictate Rotary Steerable BHAs.

I wonder if people with experience in other areas would be kind
enough to let me know their experiences. I'm trying to see just
how "location specific" the technology is.
