Modern rigs; Top drive e-motors

Questions from a rig builder seeking information from drilling community as follows;

Any thoughts suggestions, technical references appreciated?

"High power E-motors have a high inertia which is not ideal for ”˜Soft Torque´ (you need quick reacting, thus low inertia).

What are the typical Torque & Speed combination requirements for drilling? (I can imagine that you need higher torque but lower speeds in one section and higher speed but lower torque in another section). I.e. do you need 2 x 1340HP motors for drilling?

Or can we clutch one out (half the inertia) during normal drilling ops"
