Morrow brine formation

Would adding fresh water to a morrow brine formation swell the formation thus losing production from that formation???
What happens if Dolomite zone enters into the Morrow brine formation??
( Was producing brine water from morrow formation had hole in casing and ran a scab liner in to seal off holes and cemented it to surface but now the morrow formation will not produce??)
