Chrome Tubing Handling & Running Procedures for use in the field

Hi folks

At an upcoming CWOP, we plan to discuss the handling and running of chrome tubulars.  The tubing in question is 4½" 25%Cr-125 15.1 ppf with JFE Bear connections.  Thread compound will be API modified Best-o-Life.

The various tubing suppliers have guidance for handling tubulars, but we're hoping to be able to discuss/develop a 'practical' field guide to cover: laying out, picking up to the drill-floor (this is a land-rig), M/U and running.

If any of our members has an example 'field guide' and/or checklist that they can share with us, we would be able to get off to a flying start.  In return, we would post the final version on this site in about 3 weeks time.
