Point the bit vertical drilling in Anhydrite - Whirl

We drill with vertical drilling systems to increase ROP. No sliding and rotating intervalls creating high tortuosity. Agressive PDCs can be used, no time lost for TF orientation or struggling to keep the right TF.
So far performance with AutoTrak V and Power V was ok (no vibration data at surface but Power V memory shows high axial shocks and worn ribs).  We tried NOV point the bit and had high TQ at surface and had to ream afterwards. Now we run WEUS Revolution even with MWD transferring vibrations - a lot of whirl shown that restricts drilling parameter and reduces performance. I would like to know if there is other operators who went through same learning curve ?
