Pipe / Casing Tally by Using Ultrasound

Did anyone use Ultrasound for measuring Pipe and casing Tally? If Yes how it works?

Ahmed, I am thinking you are asking about measuring the length and internal diameter of the pipe at surface for casing tally and volume reasons, sorry if I am wrong, but you could use a laser measurement tool for an accurate length tally and a digital three-point ID measuring caliper for accurate ID to ascertain volume. Hello Ahmed, I do not think that the technology discussed within the following SPE paper uses ultrasound, but it may assist with your technical or business requirements ?  Regards, Nick
