MWD Mag Interference from motors.
20 February 2010 I am doing some work into MWD interference and part of it is the effect of magnetically "hot" motors.My questions are;
What level constitutes a "hot" motor.
How many hours do service companies run motors before degaussing.
Is there an API recommendation on degaussing procedures.
On how many rigs are MWD engineers and DDs regularly checking their BHA components for Mag field??
And other BHA components (ie Roller Reamers) - what is their susceptability to becoming magnetised??
Thanks everyone in advance.........
