Starting to pull secondary anchors as soon as BOP unlatched
23 March 2011 Hi folks,At yesterday's CWOP that I facilitated, it was suggested that it might be possible to start pulling secondary anchors once the BOP has been unlatched.
This was rejected out of hand. However, I am aware that a few teams actually do this.
Of course, it should be risk assessed at the time, weather reviewed etc.,
Please could members share their views, opinions and experiences about this. e.g.
... If not, why not ?
... If yes, what was it that you did to make the answer yes ?
Thanks
Dave Taylor
