Relying on shales as annulus barriers
06 June 2011 Hi guys - Hess North Sea de-commissioning is looking to gather information on industry experience in relying on "swellable" or mobile shales as a competent and (especially) verified barrier to annular flow & pressure. If you are able to revert on the formations or criteria which have been used as a barrier, that would be a great starting point. Thanx Pete.3 Answer(s)
