Pumping pills in tapered strings, 6.5" deepwater wellbores
27 November 2014 Best practices when pumping pills in tapered strings in deepwater wells, i.e. getting them to work!.Reasons why we think these often don't work that well, if at all, particularly when POH in the open hole and/or liner!
e.g. 5" - 4" drill string with 6" BHA with a production casing and liner set and drilling ahead in 6"" hole. 38deg wellbore inclination. Mud weigth in 1.3-1.5sg range.
Does this problem manifest itself more with inclination, with higher mud weights? Experiences, lessons learned? welcomed.
