Wellhead Connector Glycol Injection
21 March 2023Are there guidelines for when to inject Glycol into a wellhead connector to prevent it from freezing?
What factors are considered to decide that injection is required, is it:
- Pressure
- Temperature
- Combination of P and T
- Shallow Hazards
- Other
Operations (e.g. deep-water) go to great length to inject Glycol into the wellhead connector, but is it always necessary?
Are we doing it, because everybody does ist, or because there is a specific reason to do it.
How to decide when to inject or not?
