mpd background gas
03 August 2024Esteemed members,
I would like to pose a few questions to the Managed Pressure Drilling community.
- What role does background gas readings play in operating MPD?
- Does it have an influence on ECD programming or execution?
- If so how?
- For ECD programming which takes precedence, Coriolis readings or background gas?
- What is the limit for gas content in the return flow for Coriolis readings to remain meaningful?
Can anyone suggest a good source of information on this subject?
Many thanks
Ken
