About Bow-spring Centralizer sub? Model 541 & 541R
07 August 2012 Hi all,My query is about Bow-spring Centralizer sub? Model 541 & 541R.These type of centralizers are mostly run only due to extremely close annular clearances like in running 16” casing inside 18” Or 11⅞” inside 13â…œ” etc.
Following are few concerns towards these
1) These subs are 57” long, therefore will cause difficulty and possibly very hazardous to make up to the string.
2) It extends the length of the casing stands to rack back in the mast.
Can anyone provide me with any case histories in the GOM or any other part of world for these type of centralizers-Model 541 & 541R
Does anyone have lessons learned from any of worldwide operations using the centralizer subs?
Appreciate your help regarding this.
Thanks
Hari
