Crew manning levels for dual-activity rigs
12 August 2013 Hi folksThere seem to be different levels of crew manning on the dual-activity vessels that we are coming across. The rigs in question have a main and an auxiliary derrick-set, with the auxiliary set being only slightly less capable than the main. Some rigs also have bucking machines on deck.
I think the membership would like to hear what's 'out there' in terms of: drillers, ADs, roughnecks and roustabouts on tour vs. single-activity rigs .. and also how this is managed/supervised e.g. additional toolpushers, drilling supervisors and so on.
It would be good if replies could be as specific as possible (rig name, type, capabilities).
Many thanks in advance
Dave
