Analysis of lost time from daily drilling reports

22 February 2015 Apologies to all if this is a very basic question but here goes. We are working for a non IADC drilling company. We are the first people to give them daily drilling reports. To say the operation is inefficient is a massive understatement. We want to help them improve and I need to categorise their inefficiencies in a meaningful way. Can anyone suggest a straightforward methodology / categorisation that we should use? C
