Definition of On-bottom/Off-bottom hours
12 October 2023A bit trivial question but what is the definition on On-bottom hours? What I assume and have used in when the bit is on-bottom with WOB and Torque.
The moment bit is off of bottom, even if there is WOB/Torque (in reaming), this is off-bottom time.
Am I right is assuming this? so even during the drilling of stand, the moment bit is taken off the bottom due to any issues, we will have multiple on-bottom and off-bottom times.
