Sand Control in Water Injection Wells
27 May 2010 Hi all,We are looking at drilling a water injection well into a reasonably unconsolidated Chaco sandstone formation in Bolivia and we were wondering if anyone had any guidance on the best way to control sand flowing back from the formation when we are not injecting. We are considering running either some sort of slotted liner with the 7” tubing or pre-drilled casing with screens installed but we are concerned about plugging. Any guidance and potential suppliers would be very much appreciated.
Regards, Doug
