Recipe For Kill Fluids

10 June 2011 By rules, after testing the well must be conserved for short-term by pumping non-damaging pill into formation and circulating kill fluid. This non-damaging pill should not reduce formation permeability.

In practice, many companies just circulate kill fluid only.

I think the optimum solution should be:

1. Not to pump anything into formation, just place non-damaging (viscous, oil soluble?) pill across perforation interval
2. This pill should have the same S.G as kill fluid
3. Circulate kill fluid above the non-damaging pill

Is it possible to achieve for non-damaging pill to have the same S.G as for the kill fluid? What are your thoughts on the above?
