Close tolerance between casing/tubing
03 February 2012 Folks, maybe you can help me with this. We have had tubing sizing work done which specifies 7" completion tubing for our water injector wells and one of our oil producers.I know we can get slim SSSV with control line feed through capability and in our case we will have in addition to the control line for the SSSV, lines for downhole gauge and chemical injection.
Other relevant facts - the oil producer will be gas lifted at some point (mandrel clearance?) and these are directional wells, building to horizontal with 3-4 deg doglegs. Coupling Vam Top.
Does anyone have experience of running a 7” completion similar to this inside 9 5/8”47# casing, or should we be looking at lighter weight 9 5/8" or 10 3/4" for example?. I suspect the answer is yes but would welcome any thoughts.
thanks,
Dave Buckley
