8RD vs Buttress
09 March 2012 Good day All,I've been trying to identify the main differences between 8RD vs Buttress connections. We have to run a liner with 7in 29# Buttress connections, but some of the components may have 8RD connections instead so we'll just crossover. I would like to know if there are and risk to this?Tensile, B&C are the same for the same pipe grade, but there isn't a torque rating for buttress to compare.
Also any feedback on using the 8 RD LONG connections in a production interval where oil is expected (no gas) and any associated risks?
