Oil or Synthetic based Mud coating thickness on pipes

26 March 2014 I am looking at a new type of flow sensor for use on a subsea well abandonment module installed on a wellhead. The sensor will be installed in a vertical spool piece that is part of the module. Some tests will need to be run on the sensor using various weights and types of muds to see if the mud coating has an effect on the readings. Does anyone have any data that you could share describing the thickness of the mud coating that we would expect to be present, for instance, on the inside surfaces of a pipe?
