Alternatives to Monolock plug

We have had series of monolock plug failures (the 4 1/2" more
frequent). We are now looking at alternatives to monolock; mirage
plugs, hydrotrip sub, etc. What sort of experiences are there for
the
use of either or better still, are there better alternatives to
these
ones?.
