Electronic drifting of Tubulars

19 June 2009 We [BHPB Drilling, Australia] are looking into upgrading procedures for internally-drifting tubulars, wondering if it can be done with a laser or similar electronic means.

We are trying to avoid the need for personnel to handle heavy drifts.
