Use of lead seal / casing patches to restore wells

Forum members - am looking into restoring wells that have been damaged by severe weather (hurricane) where small platforms are damaged / knocked over.

I've used external casing patches with a lead seal to reconnect corroded/worn casing but not multiple strings. 

We have checked casing designs & patch ratings but wanted to check what other colleagues and friends have done.
