Bullseyes?

14 September 2010 Seeking general experience and resolution discussion over bulls-eyes normally strapped or fitted to the conductor when one sets the pipe in a drilled or jetted hole that we know e.g. from as drilled surveys are reasonably straight.

The bulls-eyes should reflect the surveys, but more than often they do not :)? Thus all who have suffered the long discussions with the drilling contractor regarding landing BOP's when these bullseyes are reading > than 1degree. Only to find that when BOP is landed everything on his BOP and riser reads <1 degree :)?

Anyone using a simpler, more reliable, means, & methods e.g. inclinometer devices to assure conductor inclination.
Thats what we are seeking. If so glad to hear from you.

Appreciated,

Peter.
