Hours on Connections and when to DeGauss..

23 September 2011 Good folks of the Community,

Can you please educate me as to the latest recommendations for the following;

1. Hours on connections between BHA tool joint inspections.
2. Crtieria for Degaussing tubulars.

I imagine the answer to (1) is very dependant on hole geometry, and I suspect that Degaussing is somewhat of a folly as tubulars seem to have a "magnetic memory".

But I would love to hear from people and see what the latest recommendations and thoughts are.
