HPHT wellbore fluids diffusion (influx)?
31 October 2011 The SPE paper 77474 written in 2002 outlines fluids diffusion i.e. influx into high angle HPHT wells, note: even when wells are overbalanced. To gain a fuller understanding. What experiences, best practices have been developed to cater for wellbore diffusion in HPHT wells?
How can causes/effects be safely monitored measured and managed during typical HPHT drilling, tripping, after logging, and back on circulating 'bottoms up' conditions. Notably to avoid the often inappropriate mud weight increase!
Comments, experiences, thoughts, views, appreciated .
