Drilling jar - temperature ratings for geothermal work

Dear all,

Whilst I recognise this is not our core business, some of us are doing geothermal drilling. I have had a problem with one of the main providers of drilling jars and wondered if anyone has any (private) views on which jars handle temperature better than others? By the way, our mud motor stators handle this ok, which makes it even more curious.

Geothermal temperatures where we are working are very variable - everything is good until you intercept a fracture (the object of the game) when we obviously get a massive temperature boost if not controlling with sufficient flow rate.
