High Bottom Hole Temperatures

06 December 2008 Ladies and Gentlemen,

Subject matter is mud coolers.

My questions are, do they have any real effect on down-hole
temperatures, and if so is there any guidleline on just how much.??

I am asked repeatedly about hot hole conditions and I'm trying to
work out what options are available to me when I want to drill in an
area where the thermal gradient puts the bottom hole temperature
above the survival temperature rating of the MWD tool and motor.
