Capstan Cover Plate Retaining Bolts - may not be compliant with DROPS best practice

At a recent After Action Review, it was highlighted that the capstan cover plate retaining bolts were not compliant with the Drilling Co (Stena) requirements and DROPS best practices.

The immediate action was to replace the bolts with the NordLock design (locking design)

The Wireline Co has raised a technical request & is discussing with the Capstan OEM (Zonepower).

You might want to check the equipment that you are using and add to your DROPS checklists.
