Drilling horizontal section with fresh water

12 February 2010 Dear colleques,
We plan to drill horizontal well in limestone production zone with fresh water, by adding viscosifier and pH control. The formation pressure shall not be an issue, so we don't add brine for higher density. And this will be the cheapest fluid to drill with, as we also anticipate for loss circulation.
Does anyone have experiences and lesson learned to share about this?
