Deepwater Ooze?

07 March 2010 On the understanding that the ODP scientific program has drilled OOze in several deepwater locations.

The only knowledge on record is perhaps a Voring Plateau Ultra Deepwater Norwegian well, drilled in 1999. Here a 600m section of Ooze was successfully drilled, relatively trouble free, in the surface hole section.

To ascertain Ooze presence on a more Global deepwater basis.

What other deepwater areas have experienced Ooze?

What were considered the key
- hazards,
- risks
- and best practices to
- drill, trip case and cement such a sequence?

What other experiences, references, appreciated.
