Why not use pump pressure available?

With the bigger rigs comes the aspect of we can in terms of pumping power at the bit/bottom of the hole cleaning?

Therefore if one had 2,000psi extra and available to use at the bit.
Why would one not use this? i.e. I have yet to see a washed out hole due to jet velocity particularly with bits, CFD analysis, high tech nozzling design today and if drillers simply keep the pipe moving.
