HOOK/SWIVEL Inspections

Gents,

I am facing a problem with Inspection company. They have tested the hook/swivel and rejected due to cracks.

I would like to know, what is exact process?
If having surface crack then we asked to go deep? (3~4 mm) But even found crack?
Is it mean , we accept the whole eqipment as scrap?

Please advise, as both are capital equipments and we are waiting?
