Losses with Mud pumps off

We live a strange experience in drilling an horizontal drain that I cannot explain.
Indeed, no losses recorded during drilling. but when stoping drilling and Mud pumps off. We observe a drop in the level of the mud.

ie : losses when pomps off and no losses when pumps on (while drilling)
