Class 1 And Class 2 Kelly Valve differences.

There are two Class of Kelly valve (IBOP for top drive) in API 7k . This standard explains about the testing of them.

But there is not any idea about the differences between working condition of them. In other words, it's not clear when we use one type vs. the other. So, I'd appreciate any more information about this classification.

Please help me.
