Mud volcanoes

01 February 2018 Seeking any member relevant knowledge, experience or links to areas, regions where mud volcanoes have been experienced in offshore and/or deepwater drilling.

My understanding is Caribbean, Caspian, Pacific are potential problem areas?

Some obvious questions seeking to be answered are:

How/if this shallow geo-hazard be picked up on seismic?
What are geophysicists looking for feature anomaly wise?
Best practices how to avoid these features?
If they cannot be avoided riser-mud recovery, fluids, methods best practices utilised.
