Drilling Shallow Gas Wells in East Asia ( Well Design)

I would like anybody to share with me experience of drilling in East Asia with shallow well TD of ~2,000m TVD where there is high shallow gas.
Is it typical to set multiple casing to control shallow gas and to prevent losses? Or is there a fixed procedure to over come the shallow gas and have lower or no losses.

Note:- This questions is mainly for land based remote operations
