Drilling 8½ hole with 5½ drillpipe

Hi folks,

We're planning a DWOP where we will be discussing the pros and cons of drilling 8½ hole with 5½ drillpipe (HT55).

Things like : ECD issues from the smaller annulus vs. the higher annuluar velocities and improved hydraulics, fishing ..

We'd appreciate comments from ALL of you, as to whether or not you have done this and, if so, what your experiences were.

A full response will allow us to determine what current industry best practice looks like.
