Riser Cleaning as being recovered

23 March 2009 We are about to undertake a 12 well Exploration campaign in 1,150m waterdepth. Batch setting is not an option thus requiring the riser to be pulled each well. Due to the rig design (Jack Bates) it is not possible to clean the riser joints offline. To this end we are trying to think of ways of cleaning/brushing the riser without making a dedicated trip.
One idea is to run a clean out brush in the string whilst running the abandonment plugs.
Another idea, which is the one we´re looking of input on, is to ”œdrop” a riser brush whilst pulling the riser. Possible standard riser brush with a float; a large sponge ball (DP wiper ball) anyone have any other ideas, or seen something similar done before?
