Technical limit of drilling pumps

25 February 2019 Hello everyone,

We are drilling deep gas wells with the Bentec drilling rig and mud pumps with the 5000 psi pressure limit. At some deep section, it's necessary to restrict the flow rate because our drilling contractor doesn't  want to use their equipment more than 75% of the pressure limit.

Could you tell me please what amount of the pressure/power limit is usually using at companies from all over the world.? And/or how you have overcome these kind of issues
