Steps to reduce waiting on weather in GCC Countries

Hi, does anyone know of any innovative steps taken by Operators to reduce waiting on weather in GCC Countries (In particular due to high wind and sandstorms)

Years ago, when I was SDE for Shell Cormorant UMC in the Northern North Sea, new asked “what to do about reducing WOW?”. Some wisecrack suggested “move to the Mediterranean”.

On a more serious note, I would imagine that you'd love us to facilitate an online brain-storming and action-planning session.

Inputs:

• A few presentations from several companies: the issues, the cost.
• I imagine: THE OBVIOUS (Sand)  = Saudi, Kuwait, Iraq, UAE etc
• I imagine: THE LESS OBVIOUS (Snow) = Alaska, Northern USA etc

Brainstorm:

• Ideas

Action Planning:

• What, (why), who by, when
