Mud cap drilling best practices in carbonate reservoir

Dear forum members,

For drilling 8-½ “ (about 600-800 m of open hole) in losses I have been tasked to research for the best practices and procedures for MUD Cap drilling.

I will appreciate if you could share your experience using the above technique.

• What are pre-conditions for Mud cap drilling?
• What are the major risks in drilling in gas reservoir section using Mud cap?
• Additional rig equipment requirements?
• How to best monitor annulus level if possible at all from the Jackup rig?
• Any other advice?
