Geothermal

20 May 2026

Do you know anything about drilling and producing oil from Thermal Diatomite formation? Temperatures around 500F. What advice would you give about drilling this and in particular, shallow steam issues typacally arond 700-2000ft. Are there any geathermal specific training you recommend that you might be willing to share? What warning signs would you be telling your drillers and crews to look for in these wells? And if you did encounter a shallow steam blowout, how would you suggest it is handled?
