Deepwater preferred well kill Method in Water based mud

27 April 2011 Discussion, experiences 'Pros and cons' of kill methods in deepwater. For WATER BASED MUD.

What other advanced method is preferred as standard for operators?

What is the better kill method or reality is 'horses for courses' where a systematic, logic diagram 'case by case' is maybe preferred?

Second part is at what Ultra water depth (do safe operating margin limit between pore and frac pressure) result as non-practicable?

Note: Rule of thumb indicates that when pore and fracture pressure operating window is less than 0.8ppg one is looking at a non conventional methods solution. Upon assessment it would appear than 8,000ft water depth start to deliver these numbers once drilling in <12-1/4", 8-1/2" wellbores.
